Wooden Toy Adventures is owned and operated by Jessica Bailey of Ball, Louisiana. To get to know more about Jessica and Wooden Toy Adventures, here’s Jessica’s story:
Hi, and welcome to Wooden Toy Adventures! I am the mother of two young boys, ages 5 and 2, both just celebrated their birthdays this past summer. Right now I’m going through that horrible anxiety all parents and grandparents go through... my little boy just started kindergarten. How did he grow up so fast? Also juggling sports, work, and all the in betweens, but I couldn’t ask for more!!
I was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, and have lived in the central Louisiana area all my life. Sports was always a big part of my life, and I enjoyed my first venture this summer as a coach to my son’s T-ball team. What a challenge!
We live in the country where my boys have plenty of room to play outside, ride 4-wheelers with their father, and spend time exploring all the adventures that can be found outdoors.
Like many moms, I work outside the home where I am vice-president of sales and marketing at ECI. When I come home in the evenings, I put on my “mommy” hat, and get ready to listen to their stories, read to them, fix supper, and get them ready for bed. One of my greatest concerns was how my boys would go from their crib into their big bed. That’s where Wooden Toy Adventures was born. I knew if they had a bed that made nap time and bedtime fun, the transition would be so much easier on them, and it worked. I realized that I was not the only one facing this dilemma, so I opened my store to help other mothers have an easier time also.
In addition, I found it helped my boys keep their room a little neater if they had a fun (and safe) toy box to place all their treasures. And, having their name on the box just made it more special.
